I think in the case of Szczeinek there must be another reason.

If the water level in 1888 was up to the line, the waterlevel has to be more than 5 m higher than now. So nearly the ground of the whole town (including hospital) must be under water. The sign just says: This point (which looks like a big head of a nail in the wall) is 139,338 above NN (Normal Null).

The highest water level was in 1888 and it was 3,545 meter lower than this point.

Ich verstehe deine Berechnungen nicht ganz.

Die alte deutsche Tafel besagt einfach.

1. Hier wo die Markierung ist, ist es 139,338 Meter über NN (Normal Null).

2. 1888 war das höchste Hochwasser. Der Wasserspiegel war 3,545 Meter unter dieser Markierung.

Sehr interessant. Ich dachte immer das die Markierung am Rathaus den höchsten jemals gemessenen Wasserstand in Neustettin/Sczezcinek angibt. Aber die deutsche Tafel besagt, das dort wo der Markierungspunkt ist, die Höhe 139,338 Mete über Normal-Null ist. Erst darunter kommt ein Hinweis auf den höchs...
